[origin: EP0523419A1] The tubular knitted fabric is guided by way of a first rotatably designed system of pairs of squeeze rollers and, with the fabric being drawn off continuously at the same time, is squeezed all-round by a second system of squeeze rollers which cooperates with the first system. The possibility that crease markings will occur is thus completely prevented. The squeezing apparatus consists of an externally held rotatably arranged first system of pairs of squeeze rollers which has an adjustable outer circumference and of an externally held rotatably arranged second squeeze-roller system which is matched to the circumference of the first system of pairs of squeeze rollers and which is connected operatively to the first system. <IMAGE>
