[origin: EP0523478A1] The invention relates to a transfer press line for processing large-area sheet-metal parts in a plurality of work stages, comprising a plurality of presses set up a short distance apart, each of which is assigned just one work stage, with idle stages between the work stages and with devices for transporting the sheet-metal parts between the individual stages. The object is, by reducing the width of the press frames - as seen in the direction of transport - to improve rigidity and dynamic behaviour and, at the same time, to simplify the systems for changing the rails for the suction devices and of the deposition templates. According to the invention, the press tables (2), which are connected together at their front sides, are designed in such a way that there is a free space between the press frames (4) of adjacent presses (1.1-1.3) and that arranged between two presses (1.1-1.3) there is in each case a deposition and resetting station (14) which can be moved out of the region of the idle stage, through the free space, transversely to the direction of transport of the sheet-metal parts. <IMAGE>
