[origin: EP0523486A2] The invention relates to a flat-die cross rolling mill with two tool carriers which can be moved in opposite directions to form a roll gap (S), are driven hydraulically and, on their rear sides, are assigned back-up rollers. To improve the design, the tool carriers are designed as synchronised hydraulic cylinders (9, 10) and can be moved on piston rods (7 and 8 respectively) designed as guide rods, and the guide rods can be moved perpendicularly to the plane of the roll gap (S). <IMAGE>
