[origin: EP0523584A1] According to a process for repeated reversible regeneration of preferably direct-imaged offset printing forms, which process comprises removing the image on the printing form and hydrophilising the surface of the printing form, an ionised process gas is applied to the printing form by means of a charging device, reactive deletion of the image and simultaneous hydrophilisation being carried out in a single process step. The volatile reaction products thus formed are removed by means of a suction device. <IMAGE>
