[origin: EP0523713A1] The invention relates to a knife, especially a kitchen knife, consisting of the knife blade (1) with handle extension (2) on which the knife handle (3) is arranged. According to the invention, the knife is designed in such a way that the knife handle (3) is formed from a hollow metal body (4) with at least one aperture (5) in each flank of the handle and that plastic (7) which encloses the handle extension (3) and which projects from the apertures (5) over the handle flank surfaces (6), to form handle knobs (7') is arranged in the hollow space and in the apertures (5).
