Abstract (en)
Iron comprising a heating element (97) and means (96) for controlling the heating of the heating element. It is fitted with a moisture sensor (60) which measures the degree of moisture of the fabric and which acts on the electrical power dissipated in the heating element. In order to measure the degree of moisture, a circuit (99) measures the resistivity of the fabric between two contact terminals (62a, 62b) and subsequently calculates an average of the electric signal originating from the motion of the iron over the fabric. A circuit (89) may be added which measures the rhythm of variations of the said electric signal and which thus detects when the iron is being used or when it is at rest. Applications: iron. <IMAGE>

Fer à repasser comprenant un élément chauffant (97) et des moyens (96) de commande de chauffage de l'élément chauffant. Il est muni d'un détecteur d'humidité (60) qui mesure le degré d'humidité du tissu et qui intervient sur la puissance électrique dissipée dans l'élément chauffant. Pour mesurer le degré d'humidité, un circuit (99) mesure la résistivité du tissu entre deux bornes (62a, 62b) de contact et calcule ensuite une moyenne du signal électrique issu du mouvement du fer à repasser sur le tissu. On peut adjoindre un circuit (89) qui mesure le rythme de variations dudit signal électrique et qui détecte ainsi une utilisation ou une non-utilisation du fer à repasser.
