[origin: EP0524078A1] Fire arrester device for ensuring the passage through a partition wall between two zones of an installation of cables and/or flexible pipes (C) for supplying electrical or other energy, characterised in that it comprises, made in the wall, a passage (1) emerging on both faces of the latter and in which there are arranged two metal half-sleeves (2, 3) separated by an interval (4), each provided at its end outside the wall with a flap (5, 6) for closure under gravity hinged to the corresponding half-sleeve and provided with a plug (11, 12) made of a composite intumescent fire arrester product. <IMAGE>
