Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0524337A1] The invention relates to a double-shell outside wall system having inner and outer profiled sheets, which are connected to each other by means of spacers in the form of load-bearing cross members. To simplify the construction of the wall, cassettes (5) are provided, which at the same time form the inside wall panelling. The cassettes (5) comprise sheet metal bent in the form of a U and having longitudinal beads (7) in the web (6) and a guide bead (10 and 11) in each of the flanges (8 and 9, respectively). The flanges (8, 9) are provided on their free edges with portions angled off by 90 DEG , which run in the same direction. In order to connect cassettes (5) and insulating layer (14) to each other without screws, adhesive bonding, riveting, welding or other means and consequently to simplify installation, wire clips (15) are provided, consisting of anti-corrosive, special steel wire and adapted to fit into holes in the flanges (8, 9) of the cassettes (5) with legs (17) bent in the form of an S. On outer flanges (4) of the cross members (2), folded in the form of a double T from sheet metal, outer facade metal sheets are screwed on. In order that the latter do not bear against the solid metal surface of the cross-member web (4) and consequently form a cold bridge, a heat-insulating profile (19), in the form of an elongated strip (20) consisting of foamed PVC, is provided between the outer facade metal sheets and the cross-member flange (4), on which the latter are screwed, the said strip being hung onto the cross-member flange (4) with a hook-shaped lip (21) integrally formed on the upper edge. <IMAGE>
