[origin: EP0524453A1] The invention relates to a necklace fastener or a chain part for jewellery chains, in particular for tubular braiding, consisting of a divided hollow body and the hollow body parts being connected to one another with positive locking. The ends (8, 9) of the chain are each arranged on the body parts; in this case, they each form a separation joint (b, c) on the hollow body parts (1, 2). The hollow body parts (1, 2) can be rotated relative to one another. A separation joint (a) of the hollow body and the separation joints (b, c) lie in at least one position in three planes at an angle to one another, as a result of which - by means of corresponding rotation of the hollow body parts (1, 2) - the necklace can be made to be variable. <IMAGE>
