Abstract (en)
According to the method for cleaning and/or rinsing mixers for foamable plastics, for example polyol and isocyanate, the mixers having a mixer head with closable inlets for the foam-forming materials or for cleaning agents, rinsing agents or the like, and accommodating a drive member which can be rotated by means of a motor, and in which the mixer header holds a mixing chamber which communicates with the inlets and which has a discharge orifice for the mixed foam-forming materials and accommodates a mixing body which can be turned by the drive member, measures for reliable cleaning and/or rinsing of mixer header and mixing chamber with environmentally acceptable agents can be achieved in that the mixer header inlet which is closed to the one foam-forming material, for example polyol, is essentially injected with water heated to 85 DEG Celsius, and the mixer header inlet closed to the other foam-forming material, for example isocyanate, is injected with air. <IMAGE>

Gemäß dem Verfahren zum Reinigen und/oder Spülen von Mischvorrichtungen für schaumfähige Kunststoffe, z.B. Polyol und Isocyanat, wobei die Mischvorrichtungen einen Mischkopf mit absperrbaren Zuführungen für die Schaumwerkstoffe bzw. von Reinigern, Spülmitteln od.dgl. aufweisen und ein motorisch drehbares Antriebsglied aufnehmen und bei denen der Mischkopf eine Mischkammer haltert, die mit den Zuführungen in Verbindung steht und die eine Austrittsöffnung für die gemischten Schaumwerkstoffe aufweist sowie einen durch das Antriebsglied drehbaren Mischkörper aufnimmt, sind Maßnahmen zur sicheren Reinigung und/oder Spülung von Mischkopf und Mischkammer mit umweltverträglichen Mitteln dadurch erreichbar, daß in die für den einen Schaumwerkstoff, z.B. Polyol, gesperrte Zuführung des Mischkopfes im wesentlichen auf 85° Celcius erwärmtes Wasser und in die für den anderen Schaumwerkstoff, z.B. Isocyanat, gesperrte Zuführung des Mischkopfes Luft eingeleitet wird. <IMAGE>
