[origin: EP0525305A1] A self-defence launch device is improved, which consists of a firing tube, which is fitted on the object to be defended, has an electrical detonating device on the tube base and has an ejection body, which is inserted into the firing tube, with a propulsion charge and an ejection charge, as well as a detonating device for igniting the propulsion charge and effective charge. The effective charge detonating device is in this case a mechanical detonating device with an impact bolt and an impact bolt spring. This mechanical detonating device is cocked and released by means of a lanyard which is connected on the one hand to the firing tube or a part of the ejection body which remains in the firing tube, and on the other hand to the impact bolt. When, once it has been fired, the ejection body has reached a firing distance which corresponds to the length of the lanyard, the impact bolt spring is now cocked, by the lanyard which is now tensioned, and the impact bolt is thus released and then ignites the effective charge of the ejection body, via a detonating cap and a pyrotechnic detonating chain. <IMAGE>
