[origin: EP0525558A2] The invention relates to a flashing light for installation in the junction between the front side or rear side and the side face of a motor vehicle body, having a reflector housing, a reflector face which extends parallel to the longitudinally extending vertical centre plane of the vehicle, having a plurality of reflection faces which are offset with respect to one another in a stepped fashion, an incandescent lamp which is arranged at the apex of the reflector and a lens which terminates the flashing light outwards. The bulb of the incandescent lamp is provided with a signalling colour which corresponds to the flashing light and the lens is colourless. The reflection faces which are offset with respect to one another in a stepped fashion are constructed in such a way that, to the largest possible extent, they reflect the light beams striking them from the outside through the lens in such a way that when they re-emerge from the light they do not pass through the bulb of the incandescent lamp. <IMAGE>
