A device for cutting and portioning loaves has a feeding device (1) for uncut loaves, a cutting device (2) for cutting off individual slices (3) in a longitudinal direction, a portioning star (4) which has compartments (7) with radial reception surfaces (5) and supporting surfaces (6) perpendicular to the latter for the portioning of the individual slices (3), and a discharging device (9), which is arranged downstream of the portioning star (4) and accepts the portioned individual slices (3) from the portioning star (4) by means of a gripping device (10) on a transfer station (8). In order to ensure that even loaves and/or sticks of bread which are relatively flat in shape can be portioned by the device, each reception surface (5) on the transfer station (8) forms an angle alpha with the vertical. <IMAGE>

Eine Vorrichtung zum Schneiden und Portionieren von Broten hat eine Zufördereinrichtung (1) für ungeschnittene Brote, eine Schneideeinrichtung (2) zum Abtrennen von Einzelscheiben (3) in Längsrichtung, einen Portionierstern (4), der zur Portionierung der Einzelscheiben (3) Abteile (7) mit radialen Aufnahmeflächen (5) und dazu senkrechte Stützflächen (6) aufweist, und eine Abfördereinrichtung (9), die dem Portionierstern (4) nachgeordnet ist und die portionierten Einzelscheiben (3) mittels einer Greifeinrichtung (10) an einer Übergabestation (8) vom Portionierstern (4) übernimmt. Um sicherzustellen, daß mittels der Vorrichtung auch Brotlaibe bzw. Brotstangen, welche eine vergleichsweise flache Form besitzen, portionierbar sind, schließt jede Aufnahmefläche (5) an der Übergabestation (8) mit der Vertikalen einen Winkel Alpha ein. <IMAGE>
