To provide containers (1) with an all-round label (2) of sealable material, the sealable material is drawn from a supply roller in a continuous mode of operation, an individual label (2) is cut off and then fed by its front edge (4) to the container, attached by means of at least one narrow area of adhesive in the region of the front edge, wound up by rotation of the container and subsequently connected by sealing the rear edge (5) of the label to the front edge of the label. <IMAGE>

Zum Ausstatten von Gefäßen (1) mit einem Rundumetikett (2) aus siegelfähigem Material wird in kontinuierlicher Arbeitsweise das siegelfähige Material von einer Vorratsrolle abgezogen, ein Einzeletikett (2) abgetrennt und anschließend mit seiner Vorderkante (4) dem Gefäß zugeführt, durch mindestens eine schmale, im Bereich der Vorderkante liegende Klebstoffzone angeheftet, durch Drehung des Gefäßes aufgewickelt und nachfolgend durch Versiegeln der Etikettenhinterkante (5) mit der Etikettenvorderkante verbunden. <IMAGE>
