[origin: EP0526296A1] Circuit breaker comprising an insulating envelope, a fixed main contact (2), a fixed arcing contact, a main moving contact (5, 5A), a moving arcing contact consisting of a tube (4, 4A), a blast cylinder (5) cooperating with a first piston (13), a second piston (14) integral with the moving rig and sliding in a second fixed cylinder (8B), it being possible for the volume (V2) included between the two cylinders to be placed in communication with the volume (VO) adjacent to the envelope or with the volume (V3) inside the said tube via apertures (10A, 4D), characterised in that the said apertures cooperate with a ring (40, 41) which can take a first and a second endmost position, the first in which the said apertures are open and corresponding to a rest position of the moving rig, the second in which the apertures are closed. <IMAGE>
