[origin: EP0526335A1] The invention relates to an assembly comprising a connector (100) and a high-tension lamp (200) having a cap (210). The cap includes first and second power-supply contacts (230, 240), the connector includes first and second contacts (122, 132) capable of being connected to the first and second contacts of the cap and a third contact (142) forming an electrical warning light for the correct mounting of the lamp. The relative movements of the cap and connector during mounting initially cause contacting of the first and second contacts (230, 240) of the cap with the first and second contacts (122, 132) of the connector, and only subsequently the contacting of the third contact (142) of the connector with the second contact (132) of the connector. The safety of the operator, as regards to high voltages, when working on the lamp, especially in a motor-vehicle headlight, is ensured. <IMAGE>
