[origin: WO9116648A1] Cladding structure, in particular for optical cables (1), for use in high-voltage environments, comprising at least one elongated plastic outer sheath (8), having capacitive elements (C1, C2, C3....Cn) electrically connected in series in the longitudinal direction of the cladding structure. Said capacitive elements are formed by electrodes (5, 7, 9; 10, 11, 12) underneath the outwardly facing side of the outer sheath (8). Said electrodes (5, 7, 9; 10, 11, 12) can be situated in a mutually offset manner in radial and/or longitudinal direction of the cladding structure. Damaging of the cladding structure due to corona discharge or tracking phenomena is effectively reduced by said series connection of capacitive elements (C1, C2, C3...Cn).

Structure de recouvrement pour câbles optiques (1) notamment, pouvant s'utiliser dans les milieux à haute tension et comportant au moins une gaine externe allongée (8) en matière plastique possédant des éléments capacitifs (C1, C2, C3....Cn) raccordés électriquement et en série les uns aux autres dans le sens longitudinal de la structure de recouvrement. Lesdits éléments capacitifs sont formés d'électrodes (5, 7, 9; 10, 11,12) disposées sous la face orientée vers l'extérieur de la gaine externe (8). Lesdites électrodes (5, 7, 9; 10, 11, 12) peuvent être disposées de manière réciproquement décalée dans le sens radial et/ou longitudinal de la structure de recouvrement. L'endommagement de la structure de recouvrement dû aux décharges lumineuses ou aux phénomènes de cheminement est efficacement réduit par ledit raccordement en série des éléments capacitifs (C1, C2, C3....Cn).
