Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0526778A2] The invention relates to a heating element comprising, in a quartz tube (1), a coiled wire forming a resistor (2), each end (3, 4) of which passes through an insulating sleeve (5, 6) and is connected by virtue of a means of electrical connection to a lead (7, 8), and in which a securing means enables the resistive wire to be held between the two sleeves. According to the invention, the means of connection includes a housing (9, 10) made at the end of the lead and into which is inserted the resistive wire, and a means of immobilising the resistive wire in the said housing, whilst the securing means consists of a bend (13, 14) of each end of the resistive wire, made outside the corresponding sleeve. Application to infrared heating appliances such as ovens. <IMAGE>
