[origin: WO9215732A1] The invention concerns a device for cooling filaments by blowing gas over the filaments from a centrally located nozzle (4). Disposed between the nozzle (4) and the preparation device (6) is a closed tube (5) with a length of 200 to 2000 mm. The design proposed by the invention cools the fibrils to an extent such that the orientation of the molecules within the individual filaments is uniform, thus giving an extremely regular filament.
