[origin: WO9117003A1] The invention relates to a roller straightener, usable particularly for straightening reinforcing steels. The straightener comprises, in combination, a plurality of plates (B, C) capable of being displaced while remaining perpendicular to the axis of the product to be straightened, each plate (B, C) having on each of its work faces and hinged at one of its points (52) a pivoting roller carrier arm (51) the other end (53) of which is held so as to be displacaeble at the vicinity of the adjacent plate when the distance separating both plates is varied, said arm (51) having a straightening roller (52) arranged substantially at a quarter of the distance between the hinging point (52) of the arm to the plate and the extremity of the arm (53) which is situated at the vicinity of the neighbouring plate, means such as an excentric (52a) allowing to pre-adjust the position of the roller axis (55) with respect to the axis (50) of the product to be straightened and a means allowing to displace the plates parallel to the axis of the product to be treated so that the distances between them remain equal, the axis (50) of the product to be straightened being situated at equal distances from the hinging points (52) of the arms (51) on the plates.
