A web cleaning device for cleaning a web (6) to be printed before it runs into the printing unit (2) of a web-fed printing machine. At least one washing cloth (20), which is brought into contact with the printing web (6) by positioning means (34), serves for cleaning the printing web (6). A conveying device (26, 24, 28) conveys the washing cloth (20) in such a way that different moist sections (32) of the washing cloth are brought successively into contact with the printing web (6). <IMAGE>

Bahnreinigungsanlage zur Reinigung einer zu bedruckenden Bahn (6) bevor sie in das Druckwerk (2) einer Rollendruckmaschine läluft. Zur Reinigung der Druckbahn (6) dient mindestens ein Waschtuch (20), welches durch Positioniermittel (34) mit der Druckbahn (6) kontaktiert wird. Eine Transportvorrichtung (26, 24, 28) transportiert das Waschtuch (20) so, daß nacheinander andere feuchte Waschtuchabschnitte (32) mit der Druckbahn (6) in Kontakt gebracht werden. <IMAGE>
