[origin: EP0527485A1] A chipping machine is described which comprises a chipping rotor (2), having chipping blades (4) fastened to a drive shaft (8), and a stationary counter-strip (6) which is arranged essentially parallel to the drive shaft (8) and running past which are the chipping blades (4), each chipping blade (4) having a straight cutting edge (10), which runs at an angle to a transverse axis of the chipping blade (4), and being tilted towards a radial axis perpendicular to the drive shaft (8) in such a way that all points of the cutting edge (10) essentially describe paths of the same radius. <IMAGE>
