Abstract (en)
The invention relates to a device for feeding pieces of tobacco to a stream drier (1). This is intended to ensure that even very highly moistened pieces of tobacco, eg. fibres of cut tobacco, are adequately separated and are not fed to the stream drier pressed together into lumps, which would result in uneven drying. According to the invention, the object is achieved in that the feeding direction (12) of the pieces of tobacco entering the stream drier (1) is at an angle to the direction of flow of the drying medium. The advantage associated with the invention is that the tobacco can be introduced into the stream dryer in a well separated and evenly distributed form, which is important for even drying and, if so desired, good expansion of the tobacco. <IMAGE>
Abstract (de)
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Vorrichtung zum Zuführen von Tabakteilen zu einem Stromtrockner (1). Hierbei soll gewährleistet sein, daß auch sehr hochgefeuchtete Tabakteile, z. B. Schnittabakfasern, ausreichend vereinzelt werden und nicht in Klumpen zusammengepreßt dem Stromtrockner zugeführt werden, was eine unhomogene Trocknung zur Folge hat. Gemäß der Erfindung wird die Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß die Zufuhrrichtung (12) der in den Stromtrockner (1) eintretenden Tabakteile schräg zur Strömungsrichtung des Trocknungsmediums verläuft. Der mit der Erfindung verbundene Vorteil besteht darin, daß der Tabak gut vereinzelt und gleichmäßig verteilt in den Stromtrockner eingebracht werden kann, was für eine gleichmäßige Trocknung und, wenn gewünscht, gute Expansion des Tabaks wichtig ist. <IMAGE>
