Abstract (en)
A material band 1 coated with a liquid layer 2 runs through a dryer 13, in which guide elements 14 are arranged at a spacing from one another. The guide elements 14 have air-permeable or gas-permeable guide surfaces 9 facing the material band 1 and are acted upon with overpressure with air or gas via a common supply line 17 and inlet ducts 5 in each guide element. The guide air 10 or gas emerging from the guide surfaces forms an air or gas film of less than 1 mm thickness which guides the material band 1 in a troublefree manner and without any impairment of the blowing-sensitive liquid layer 2 and makes it slide over the guide elements 14.

Ein mit einer Flüssigkeitsschicht 2 beschichtetes Materialband 1 durchläuft einen Trockner 13, in dem Führungselemente 14 im Abstand zueinander angeordnet sind. Die Führungselemente 14 haben luft- bzw. gasdurchlässige Führungsflächen 9, die dem Materialband 1 zugewandt sind und werden über eine gemeinsame Versorgungsleitung 17 und Einlaßkanäle 5 in jedem Führungselement mit Luft bzw. Gas mit Überdruck beaufschlagt. Die oder das aus den Führungsflächen austretende Führungsluft 10 bzw. -gas bildet einen Luft- bzw. Gasfilm von weniger als 1 mm Dicke, der das Materialband 1 störungsfrei und ohne jede Beeinträchtigung der verblasungsempfindlichen Flüssigkeitsschicht 2 führt und über die Führungselemente 14 gleiten läßt.
