[origin: EP0528728A1] The present invention relates to a method and a device for rotating a polishing barrel more particularly intended for polishing spectacles frames, watch cases and other similar metal objects fastened onto peripheral spindles (8) of a drum (4) closed at its two ends, and in the bottom of which is placed an abrasive load (6). The method is characterised in that the said spindles (8) are rotated with a time delay, adjustable if appropriate, with respect to the rotation of the said drum (4), it being necessary for this time to be less than or equal to that which is necessary for bringing the said load (6) into equilibrium inside the drum (4). <IMAGE>
