[origin: WO9118167A1] A delay action time lock having a lock housing (10) in which a spring action bolt (11) is movably connected. A retracting cam (19) is provided for engagement with a bolt retracting lever (23) for retracting a locking end (11') of the bolt in the housing by means of a key (12) inserted in a key cylinder (14) and after an electronic timer (15) has initiated a first preset time delay count. A motor actuated support cam (30) is provided for normally supporting the retracting lever (23) in a disengaged position with the retracting cam (19). After the preset time delay count, the bolt retracting lever (23) is liberated to be engaged by the retracting cam (19). After a second preset time delay or upon the actuation of a microswitch (32) by the retracting lever (23), the motor actuated support cam (30) is placed to support the retracting lever (23) at its disengaged position so that as soon as the key cylinder is turned back to its initial position, the lock bolt is disengaged.
