[origin: EP0529191A1] The invention relates to a date-indicating device for a timepiece, having a date drive 9 which can be driven by the clockwork. It is possible by means of the date drive 8 for a units disc 1 to be driven in a manner such that it can advance one step a day and for a tens disc 3 to be driven in a manner such that it can advance one step per ten days. Units numerals from 0 to 9 are arranged on the surface of the one disc 1, being distributed uniformly in a concentric circle and directed approximately radially. Furthermore, tens numerals from 1 to 3 and an empty position 6 are arranged on the surface of the tens disc 3, being distributed uniformly in a concentric circle and directed approximately radially. Constructed in each case in the tens disc 3 between the tens numerals and the empty position 6 is a continuous window 7 corresponding to the size of a numeral. Units disc 1 and tens disc 3 are arranged situated next to one another in parallel in such a way that units and tens discs 1 and 3 overlap in a region of an indicating position, it being the case that in the indicating position of a tens numeral and of a units numeral visible through one of the windows 7 it is possible to represent a two-digit number which is visible through the date window 38 of the dial 37 of the timepiece. <IMAGE>
