The cooking oven door has an inspection window, the glass pane (11) of which facing the cooking oven interior has a coating (14) reflecting heat radiation. According to the invention, the reflecting coating (14) is applied to the surface of the glass pane (11) facing away from the cooking oven interior (6). In this manner, during operation of the cooking oven, condensation of the water vapour formed in the cooking oven interior (6) on said glass pane is prevented to the greatest possible extent. <IMAGE>

Die Backofentür besitzt ein Durchsichtfenster, dessen dem Backofeninnenraum zugewandte Glasscheibe (11) einen Wärmestrahlen reflektierenden Belag (14) aufweist. Gemäß der Erfindung ist der reflektierende Belag (14) an der dem Backofeninnenraum (6) abgewandten Oberfläche der Glasscheibe (11) aufgebracht. Auf diese Weise wird bei Betrieb des Backofens eine Kondensation des im Backofeninnenraum (6) sich bildenden Wasserdampfes an der vorgenannten Glasscheibe weitestgehend verhindert. <IMAGE>
