[origin: FR2679542A1] The invention relates to a device for tipping out and arranging flat objects (3) on edge in a receptacle (1, 2), the said objects being, in particular, envelopes exiting a sorting machine in which the envelopes are conveyed, arranged vertically, in containers (buckets) (4) and released above the device. It comprises: - a principal guide surface (5) inclined at an angle ( alpha , beta ) with respect to the vertical plane (P-P) according to which the flat object (3) descends on exiting the container (4), - a deflection and holding blade (pallet) (7) downstream of the principal surface (5), - a receptacle (1, 2) which is inclined with respect to the horizontal plane by an angle ( delta ), the blade (7) being movable from an initial position, in which its lower edge (7') is parallel and close to the base of the lowest wall (1', 2') of the receptacle (1, 2), to a final position, in which it is close to the highest wall (1'', 2'') of the receptacle (1, 2). <IMAGE>
