[origin: US5289636A] The invention is directed to an electric shaving apparatus with a first slide switch slidably arranged on a housing for operating a short-hair cutter assembly K1, K2, with a long-hair trimmer L displaceable by means of a slider as well as a second adjustable slide switch for operating at least one of the cutters. The second slide switch automatically follows in a defined range the control movement of the first slide switch into at least one further control position. The second slide switch is then movable into a cutter assembly locking position in opposition to the direction of the movement of the first slide switch.
