Abstract (en)
Method for determining the end of a cleaning cloth C (which is non-metallic and non-magnetic) for cleaning the blanket cylinder of a lithographic press and device therefor, wherein the cloth C has indicia 22, 24 positioned at a predetermined distance from the end of the roll of cloth which are arranged to pass a sensor 29 mounted to sense the indicia as the cloth C is fed for cleaning the roll. An alarm signal (which may be audible or visible) is given to alert the press operator when either end of the indica 22, 24 is detected. <IMAGE>
