[origin: EP0530076A1] The invention relates to an electrical connecter of the type consisting of an insulating unit receiving connection elements which are electrically connected to a rear shell (case), the said insulating unit being protected by two metal half-shells which are capable of being coupled together in order to form a shielding shell (case) having high mechanical strength and good electrical continuity with the connection shell (case). This connector is characterised in that the two half-shells (1, 2) of the shielding shell (case) are twinned and each include respectively an interlocking male member and a female member (10, 11) for their paired coupling, one (10) of the two members of one half-shell including a zone which is at least partly elastically deformable and located facing an opening made in the complementary member of the other half-shell. <IMAGE>
