Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9216736A1] Multipoint plugs for common electrical contacting of a plurality of electrically operated fuel injection valves, which have plugs that partly surround and contact the ends of the fuel injection valves remote from their injection ends, are already known. These multipoint plugs are suitable only for fuel injection valves in which the fuel is supplied to the periphery of the valve and which are electrically connected at the end remote from the injection end. The new multipoint plug (1) consists of a housing (3) and a supporting part (21) which has conductor channels (39) in which electrically connecting conductors (45) run. The electrical contacting conductors (55) which contact the fuel injection valves (11) project from the multipoint plug (1) and have plug-in elements (57) which contact the fuel injection valves (11). The advantages of this multipoint plug (1) is simple and reliable contacting of a plurality of fuel injection valves of any design. The arrangement of the multipoint plug is particularly suitable for common electrical contacting of electrically operated fuel injection valves of internal combustion engines.
