The switch (15) for switching on and the reversal of direction of rotation of the drive (3) are housed in the hand lever (13). Since the operator must constantly press the hand lever (13) down in order to grasp the pipe-cleaning spiral (7) with the clamping device (9) and to set the spiral into rotation, it is especially advantageous if the right-off-left functions can be engaged via the same lever (13) without the hand lever (13) having to be released.
