[origin: EP0530653A1] The invention relates to a sealing strip (1) for bonding to a frame part or the like, in particular for arrangement between a window frame (18) and adjacent masonry, preferably of an insulation layer, which strip (1) has a bonding/fastening surface (14), the foam-material strip (3) being, in the compressed state, arranged in an essentially U-shaped channel (2) of the sealing strip (1), which channel (2) is closed by a dimensionally stable cover strip (4) which is held on the edge side in a detachable positive-engagement connection to the front region of the channel walls (7, 8). In order to design the sealing strip in a favourable manner for handling, with efficient usability on site, the invention proposes that the cover strip (4) is connected in a flag-like manner to a flexible strip element (9), for example a foil (9), which, guided via an edge rim (6) of the cover strip (4), extends into the channel (2) of the sealing strip (1), passing through the positive-engagement connection. <IMAGE>
