Abstract (en)

[origin: DE4015215A1] The gate of the invention comprises two guideways (2, 2') arranged on the opposite sides (3, 3') of the gate aperture (1) and strip cladding (12) with strips (14) arranged on hinge frames (20, 20') spaced in such a way that the hinge pins (24, 24') engage inside a space (34) between adjacent strips (14).

[origin: DE4015215A1] The armouring (12) comprises a number of plates (14) which are rigid, cover the width of the gate aperture, and can be angled in relation to one another. Two guide tracks (2) are arranged, one on either side of the gate aperture. The guide tracks issue in the entry (8) of the lifting gate in an inwardly running spiral section (10) in which the armouring (12) can be moved in the open position of the gate, so that the plates (14) are positioned in a spiral-form path and contact-free in relation to one another. The spiral section (10) of the guide tracks has a horizontally running, separately insertable extension section (62).
