[origin: WO9208252A1] The invention relates to a process for the direct conversion of energy. In a closed reaction circuit, a chemosorptive or chemical compound is decomposed in a thermal decomposition cell into its components with the application of heat and recombined in an electrochemical reaction cell with the formation of entropy-free useful work. The production of entropic waste heat is either fed back to the process side or, if this is impossible, the exhaust heat is taken back recuperatively to the thermal decomposition process. The process gives off no heat to its environment and can therefore convert environmental heat into entropy-free useful work. The process section concerning decomposition, looked at per se, is suitable for the thermal splitting of chemical compounds, the splitting of which has long been possible only by electrolytic means.

L'invention concerne un procédé pour la conversion directe de l'énergie. Dans un cycle de réaction fermé, un composé chimiosorbé ou chimique est décomposé en ses différents composants dans une chambre de décomposition thermique avec apport de chaleur et reconstitué à partir de ces composants dans une chambre de réaction électrochimique avec production d'un travail utile non entropique. La formation d'un dégagement de chaleur entropique est empêchée par le processus ou, lorsque cela n'est pas possible, la chaleur dégagée est réintroduite par récupération dans le processus de décomposition thermique. Le procédé fonctionne sans dégagement de chaleur par rapport à son milieu et peut donc transformer la chaleur ambiante en travail utile non entropique. La partie décomposition proprement dite du processus convient pour la dissociation thermique de composés chimiques dont la dissociation ne pouvait s'effectuer jusqu'à présent que par la voie électrolytique.
