In an air filter for an internal combustion engine the measuring tube 9 of the air flow sensor 8 is arranged inside the clean air chamber 6 and essentially parallel to the plate-shaped filter element 4, in order on the one hand to reduce the space required and on the other to protect the air flow sensor from damage and corrosion. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Luftfilter für eine Brennkraftmaschine ist das Meßrohr 9 des Luftmassenmessers 8 innerhalb der Reinluftkammer 6 und im wesentlichen parallel zu dem plattenförmigen Filterelement 4 angeordnet, um einerseits den Platzbedarf zu verringern und andererseits den Luftmassenmesser vor Beschädigung und Korrossion zu schützen. <IMAGE>
