In a forme cylinder in an offset printing machine for erasable direct imaging, having a cylinder shell with a hydrophilic surface, which cylinder shell can be mounted on a cylinder body, the cylinder shell has a plurality of pores. The pores are of substantially equal size and are distributed evenly. The size and number of pores are adjustable. A damping medium can be passed through the cylinder body in such a way that the damping medium can pass through the pores to the surface of the cylinder shell. <IMAGE>

Bei einem Formzylinder in einer Offsetdruckmaschine für eine löschbare Direktbebilderung mit einem auf einen Zylinderkörper aufziehbaren Zylindermantel mit hydrophiler Oberfläche weist der Zylindermantel eine Mehrzahl von Poren auf. Die Poren sind im wesentlichen gleicher Größe und gleichmäßig verteilt. Die Porengröße und die Anzahl der Poren sind einstellbar. Durch den Walzenkörper ist in der Weise Feuchtmittel führbar, so daß das Feuchtmittel durch die Poren an die Oberfläche des Zylindermantels gelangen kann. <IMAGE>
