[origin: WO9217746A1] Rapid fire mortar, comprising an ammunition cylinder, the liners (10) of which are fitted at their rear with a metal seal (22), the bottom (30) of which forms an ammunition support. The seal is slidingly mounted in the liner in order to compensate the manufacturing tolerances of the liners, its walls being capable of elastic deformation resulting from the effect of gas pressure during firing to provide a gas-tight seal between the liner and the firing plate.

Mortier à tir rapide, comprenant un barillet à munitions dont les chemises (10) sont munies, à leur extrémité arrière, d'un joint métallique (22) dont le fond (30) forme un support de la munition, le joint étant monté glissant dans la chemise pour compenser les dispersions de cotes des chemises et ayant des parois élastiquement déformables sous l'effet de la pression des gaz lors du tir pour assurer l'étanchéité aux gaz entre la chemise et une plaque de tir.
