Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0532817A1] The push-button has a spindle (2), which can be displaced in a case opening (7), and a pot-shaped head (3) which bears in the pressed-in position against the floor of an external countersink (6), surrounding the head, of the case wall (1). The external section of the spindle (2) below the head (3) is surrounded by a sleeve (4) made from elastically compliant material which is clamped between the inside of the head (3) and the floor (6) of the countersink and, in the pressed-in position of the push-button, is compressed and deformed in such a way that it at least largely fills up the annular space above the spindle (2). After the push-button has been released, the latter is pushed under the action of the restoring force of the expanding sleeve material into its rest position, in which a stop (5) provided on the internal spindle end bears against the inner wall of the case. <IMAGE>
