[origin: EP0532836A2] The invention relates to a revolving press for pressing ceramic compositions, especially for producing clay tiles, with a machine frame, a multi-surface drum seated on a horizontal rotating shaft, at least one bottom-half mould being arranged on each drum surface, a thrust piece which is arranged above the drum and has a pressing ram which can reciprocate vertically and supports at least one upper-half mould on its lower end face, a removing apparatus for removing the pressed parts out of the bottom-half mould and transferring them to a discharging apparatus, and a drive for the drum, the thrust piece and the removing apparatus. The said revolving press has a first motor, which causes the drum to rotate, a second motor which causes the removing apparatus to reciprocate and pivot in the direction of the drum centre, a hydraulic piston-cylinder assembly which is independent of the two motors and which directly causes the pressing piston to reciprocate in a vertical direction, and, finally, an electronic control unit for controlling the two motors and the piston-cylinder assembly in a synchronised manner. <IMAGE>
