Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0532912A1] The process relates to the dispensing of gas from pressure vessels having a filling pressure of over 200 bar. To be able to empty these pressure vessels in a technically simple and economic manner without having to give up existing systems for filling pressures up to a maximum of 200 bar, it is proposed, at a vessel pressure of more than 200 bar, to reduce the gas pressure according to the invention by means of a first pressure reducer (5) down to or below 200 bar and then to reduce it to working pressure by means of a second pressure reducer (8). At a vessel pressure in the course of gas dispensing or at a filling pressure of in each case below 200 bar, the first pressure reducer can be bypassed by means of a bypass line (7). <IMAGE>
