Abstract (en)
In the production of chrome-tanned leather, a pretreatment of delimed and bated pelts with condensation products without a tanning action leads to substrates which can, by machine and without difficulty, be dehydrated and shaved or split and shaved. The properties of the leathers produced therefrom by chrome-tanning do not differ from those of conventionally chrome-tanned and shaved leathers.

Bei der Herstellung von Chromleder führt eine Vorbehandlung von entkälkten und gebeizten Blößen mit nicht gerbend wirkenden Kondensationsprodukten zu Substraten, die problemlos maschinell entwässert und gefalzt beziehungsweise gespalten und gefalzt werden können. Die Eigenschaften der hieraus durch Chromgerbung hergestellten Leder unterscheiden sich nicht von denen konventionell chromgegerbter und gefalzter Leder.
