Abstract (en)
The present invention relates to an improved method and apparatus for removing a sheet (35A) from an imaging vacuum drum (18) in a laser thermal printer proofer. The drum has a first set of vacuum openings and a second set of openings not covered by the printed sheet. The exit blader (416) is spaced so close to the drum surface that the vacuum drawn through the second set of openings creates an area of relatively high pressure lifting the end of the sheet from the drum. <IMAGE>
