Abstract (en)
This device comprises a sealing member (24) attached to the door (14) of the coke oven (10), which has an edge for connection (28) with the frame (16) of this door, and a channel (44) arranged at the periphery of the sealing member (24), in which a sealing gas travels at a pressure which is higher in relation to the gaseous mixture inside the oven (10). The open side of the channel (44) faces the door frame (16) so as to form a buffer zone of sealing gas shutting off the leakages produced when the sealing member expands. The channel (44) also comprises a number of compartments provided with separate means for feeding sealing gas making it possible to adapt the pressure of the sealing gas as a function of the locations where the leakages are greatest. <IMAGE>

Ce dispositif comprend un organe d'étanchéité (24), fixé sur la porte (14) du four à coke (10), présentant un bord de jonction (28) avec le cadre (16) de cette porte, et un canal (44), disposé à la périphérie de l'organe d'étanchéité (24), dans lequel circule un gaz d'étanchéité en surpression par rapport au milieu gazeux à l'intérieur du four (10). Le côté ouvert du canal (44) est en vis à vis avec le cadre de porte (16) de façon à former une zone tampon de gaz d'étanchéité obturant les fuites créées lors de la dilatation de l'organe d'étanchéité. Le canal (44) comporte également plusieurs compartiments munis de moyens distincts d'alimentation en gaz d'étanchéité permettant d'adapter la pression du gaz d'étanchéité en fonction des emplacements où les fuites sont les plus importantes. <IMAGE>
