Abstract (en)
The device for single-sided development of light-sensitive material comprises a dosing roller (7) for dosed feeding of developing liquid to an applying roller (10). A profiled roller (11) is provided for the purpose of pressing the material against the applying roller (10). The profiled roller (11) has a cylindrical core (12). The circumferential surface of the core (12) is completely covered with a coating (13) made from a permanently elastic material. That surface of the coating (13) averted from the core (12) is provided with projecting, essentially conical or pyramidal knobs (14) which are arranged in a mutually offset fashion. The knobs (14) consist of the same permanently elastic material as the coating (13). The pressure roller (17) bears against the profiled roller (11). In the through-flow direction, marked by I to O, of the material to be developed, it is mounted upstream of the bearing point of the profiled roller (11) on the applying roller (10). Material inserted at I is gripped at the contact point (19) of the pressure roller (17) by the profiled roller (11) and transported further. Because of the soft knobs (14) and the relatively low bearing pressure of the pressure roller (17), the material to be developed can be displaced or straightened out before it comes into contact with the developing liquid. Adjacent knobs have the tendency to spread apart in regions of the contact points either with the pressure roller or with the applying roller. An additional tensioning of the material to be developed is thereby produced between these knobs. This leads to a generally uniform application of liquid, in particular in the case of the applying roller. <IMAGE>

Die Einrichtung zum einseitigen Entwickeln von lichtempfindlichem Material umfasst eine Dosierwalze (7) zum dosierten Zuführen von Entwicklerflüssigkeit an eine Auftragwalze (10). Eine profilwalze (11) ist vorgesehen, um das Material gegen die Auftragwalze (10) zu drücken. Die Profilwalze (11) weist einen zylinderförmigen Kern (12) auf. Die Mantelfläche des Kerns (12) ist mit einem Belag (13) aus einem dauerelastischen Werkstoff vollständig belegt. Die dem Kern (12) abgewandte Oberfläche des Belages (13) ist mit abstehenden und versetzt zueinander angeordneten, im wesentlichen kegel- oder pyramidenförmigen Noppen (14) versehen. Die Noppen (14) bestehen aus dem gleichen dauerelastischen Werkstoff wie der Belag (13). Eine Andruckwalze (17) liegt auf der Profilwalze (11) auf. Sie ist in der mit I nach O bezeichnetenDurchlaufrichtung des zu entwickelnden Materials der Auflagestelle der profilwalze (11) auf der Auftragwalze (10) vorgelagert. Ein bei I eingeschobenes Material wird bei der Berührungsstelle (19) der Andruckwalze (17) mit der Profilwalze (11) erfasst und weitertransportiert. Wegen den weichen Noppen (14) und dem relativ kleinen Auflagedruck der Andruckwalze (17) kann das zu entwickelnde Material verschoben oder gerade gerichtet werden, bevor es mit der Entwicklerflüssigkeit in Berührung kommt. Benachbarte Noppen haben die Tendenz, im Bereiche der Berührungsstellen entweder mit der Andruckwalze oder mit der Auftragwalze auseinanderzuspreizen. Dadurch entsteht zwischen diesen Noppen eine zusätzliche Straffung des zu entwickelnden Materials. Dies führt insbesondere bei der Auftragwalze zu einem überaus gleichmässigen Flüssigkeitsauftrag. <IMAGE>
