[origin: EP0533962A1] A description is given of an internal combustion engine with an injection system in which the injection valve (2) is connected to the pump (3) via encapsulated pressure lines (6, 7). The pressure lines (6, 7) are arranged at right angles to one another and comprise a radial pressure section (9) and a transverse pressure section (6), which are clamped relative to one another and assume a centered position relative to one another. A leak-tight connection between the lines and with the injection pump (3) and injection valve (2) is effected via flat sealing surfaces (19-24) which are arranged parallel to one another. The pressure sections (6, 9) are secured in housings (3a, 3b, 4) which are designed as tube springs which yield elastically if the pressure sections expand. <IMAGE>
