In the case of a wall or floor slab (1) which exhibits a load-bearing member (3) having a surface (5) for receiving tiles (2) and, on the rear side, projections (6), the invention proposes to produce the load-bearing member (3) from a mesh material. In this way, either a very lightweight tiled slab can be produced or, by filling the cavities, a particularly stable and pressure-resistant tiled slab can be provided. Vibratory bedding-down of such tiled slabs into an aligned layer such as, for example, a screed ensures, as a result of the mesh material, an intimate bonding of the tiled slab with the underlying surface. <IMAGE>

Bei einer Wand- oder Bodenplatte (1), die einen Träger (3) mit einer Fläche (5) zur Aufnahme von Fliesen (2) und auf der Rückseite Vorsprünge (6) aufweist, schlägt die Erfindung vor, den Träger (3) aus einem Gitterwerkstoff herzustellen. Auf diese Weise kann wahlweise eine sehr leichte Fliesenplatte hergestellt werden oder durch Ausfüllung der Hohlräume eine besonders stand- und druckfeste Fliesenplatte geschaffen werden. Das Einrütteln derartiger Fliesenplatten in eine Ausgleichsschicht, wie z. B. einen Estrich, gewährleistet aufgrund des Gitterwerkstoffes einen innigen Verbund der Fliesenplatte mit dem Untergrund. <IMAGE>
