Un procédé permet de régler le dispositif d'alimentation en courant d'un filtre électrique (5) composé d'un mutateur indirect (2) pourvu d'une unité de mesure et de commande (1) et relié en amont d'un transformateur de haute tension (3). L'unité de mesure et de commande (1) mesure des valeurs du côté primaire et détermine automatiquement les états du côté secondaire sur la base des valeurs mesurées du côté primaire.
